We are Tennis! The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis and the leader in promoting and developing the sport's growth on every level in the United States, from local communities to the crown jewel of the professional game, the US Open.

The Role

This is an 8-week program from June 10th through August 13th.

Working hours: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST

Hybrid schedule: Must be capable to work on-site 2-3 days per week at the National Campus - Orlando

Hourly rate: $16.00

The Event Intern will support the events team in executing a variety of logistics for tournaments, ensuring smooth operations from start to finish. This role involves assisting with registration, coordinating with outside vendors, managing player services, fulfilling food & beverage requests, overseeing officiating needs, arranging signage, and addressing any other facility-related requirements. Additionally, the intern will assist the event manager in the development of the 2026 event calendar and collegiate scheduling, providing valuable support in planning and organizing future events.

Key Responsibilities:

    Assist with tournament logistics, including registration, vendor coordination, and player services to ensure a seamless event experience.
  • Coordinate food & beverage requests for players, staff, and officials, ensuring timely delivery and quality service.
  • Assist with the organization and management of officiating needs, ensuring all necessary equipment and staff are in place.
  • Support the team with signage and facility-related needs, ensuring proper placement and visibility during events.
  • Help ensure all operational details are addressed to meet the needs of participants, vendors, and event staff.
  • Assist the manager with the buildout and planning of the 2026 event calendar, including scheduling collegiate events and tournaments.
  • Provide general administrative support to the events team, including preparing event documentation, tracking progress, and assisting with event follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure logistical requirements are met for each event.
Who You Are
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and manage event details.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, participants, and staff.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of event logistics, including vendor management and scheduling, is a plus.
