University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to join our Oculoplastics practice in Minneapolis. Job Description TheDepartment of Oculoplastic Surgeryat M Health Fairview is seeking a highly motivated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (with certification for patients through the life span, infant to adults). Working with the Oculoplastic Faculty, the candidate will be primarily caring for patients in the outpatient clinic setting with opportunity for first assist in the OR. The primary locations will be at the University of Minnesota Medical Center (UMMC) and Clinic and Surgery Center (CSC) in Minneapolis, Masonic Children's Hospital, Lions Eye Clinic, and MHealth Maple Grove ASC and Clinic. Responsibilities will include providing care and education to patients with various oculoplastic conditions in coordination with the attending physicians and performing various procedures in the office setting. Procedures include but are not limited to: eyelid biopsies, chalazion excisions, suture and staple removal, suturing of wounds. Experience in ophthalmic or plastic surgery is preferred; however new graduates are welcome to apply. This is a full-time day shift position. There will be call responsibilities added in the future.
