Security Manager/FSO

Valiant has an immediate need to fill the Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) position at our Herndon VA office who will oversee multiple cage codes overall security program and help drive day to day activities. The responsibilities of the Security Manager/FSO will encompass in maintaining a successful implementation of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) by applying and managing the appropriate security and compliance measures. The Security Manager/FSO must have an understanding of the 32 CFR part 117 - National Industrial Security Manual (NISPOM Rule) and will have ownership for the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures as required by the department, and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA). Perform duties in accordance with security standards that may include Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) as outlined in Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705, Intelligence Community Policy Guidance, IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705, and DoD Manual 5105.21 Volume 1-3.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Security Risk Manager, and Business Continuity role/responsibilities.
• Focal point of contact to conduct and manage personnel security indoctrinations, debriefings, pre/post travel briefings, and annual refresher briefings.
• Assist, recommend, develop, implement and monitor security policies and procedures.
• Assess, analyze, and address security risk. Manage and flow down of DD Form 254.
• Manage the facility access control, intrusion detection, safes/locks, hardware, and doors.
• Support multiple federal agencies utilizing the policies and procedures set forth by the DoD and Intelligence Community and other applicable directives.

• This position will serve as the Security Manager/FSO, ITPSO, with Contractor Special Security Officer (CSSO) duties.
• This position if for someone who has: Active in-scope TS with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
• Bachelor's Degree with 7-10+ years' experience in security field.
• Knowledge, experience, and understanding of both the DCSA and the IC community to effectively perform duties .
• Completed the required DCSA FSO training appropriate for a safeguarding facility.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage, oversee, coordinating and conducting comprehensive security program.
• Ability to multi-task and meet critical deadlines.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to work and lead a team.
• Working knowledge and experience with DISS, NISS, NBIS, ACCS, SIMS, SWFT
  Proficient in Microsoft Office and SharePoint

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
