Salary: The expected salary for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 annually. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills and/or location.



POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance and Quality Control Manager at AES will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of quality control and quality assurance across the organization. This position plays a critical role in implementing, maintaining and improving a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure adherence to customer requirements, regulatory standards and industry best practices. The Compliance and Quality Control Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote a culture of excellence, and lead the organization towards achieving ISO certifications specifically ISO 9001 and 14001.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Other duties may be assigned and are not limited to the following)

  • Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure adherence to quality standards, customer requirements and regulatory compliance. Define quality policies, procedures, and maintain quality documentation.
  • Quality Control Processes: Establish and enforce quality control processes to monitor and evaluate the quality of products or services throughout the production or service delivery lifecycle. Develop and implement inspection procedures, conduct quality audits and perform statistical analysis to identify defects or areas for improvement.
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Coordinate with departments such as Operations, Finance, HR, and other support teams to develop and maintain clear, efficient and effective SOPs.
  • Quality Metrics and Reporting: Define and track key quality metrics to assess performance and identify trends. Generate reports and analyses on quality performance, highlight areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions to management. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance quality and efficiency. Implement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall quality initiatives.
  • ISO Certifications: Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ISO certifications (specifically ISO 9001 and 14001). Develop strategies, coordinate resources and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements. Ensure the organization meets all applicable regulatory and certification standards. Coordinate with regulatory bodies and participate in audits or inspections as necessary.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate and interact effectively with large groups of people across departments to promote quality initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Baseline Development and Enhancements: Evaluate and improve the current quality program by adding efficiencies and improvements through new programs or processes.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; 5+ years related work experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is required.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, develop and implement baseline quality programs and introduce efficiencies through innovative programs and processes.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control processes, statistical analysis and quality improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in relevant quality management tools and software.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to uphold deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with large groups and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and inspire a culture of quality across the organization.
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating with regulatory bodies and participating in audits and inspections.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience driving organizational change to improve quality standards and processes.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • No travel restrictions: up to 50% domestic travel may be required to ensure operational alignment and compliance.
