DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of our Internship, you will acquire hands-on experience by supporting the New Stanton District Mining Office with data input and interpretation, involving permits with bituminous coal mines and noncoal surface mines. In addition, you will assist with geologic review, facility engineering, and analysis of water trends. Furthermore, you will assist with the permit review process. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time internship that will run from 5/1/2025 through 8/29/2025
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor's degree, or advanced degree program in one of the following majors:
- Geology
- Earth Science/Environmental Science
- Chemistry/Biology
- An approved major course of study at an accredited college or university
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)
- Freshman year completed
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university
Additional Requirements:
- This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
