Program Overview: Our Nurse Technician Program is designed to provide nursing students with practical experience under the guidance of registered nurses. This program fosters immersion in Akron Children's culture and aims to inspire participants to pursue RN positions upon graduation. Unit Overview: The Emergency Department (ED) provides emergency care to pediatric patients facing a wide range of acute medical conditions, injuries, and trauma. The department is specially designed to cater to the unique needs of children, offering comprehensive services in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. With dedicated areas for trauma, fast track, and behavioral health, the ED offers a diverse range of experiences for nurses seeking to develop their skills in emergency care.
