Position Summary: The Dietetic Technician is an integral part of the nutrition care team. Works under the guidance of the RD and the LD dietitian and has responsibilities in the following assigned areas: interviewing patients, performing anthropometric measurements, calculating nutrient intakes, educating patients and families on specific diets, monitoring food quality and meal acceptance, and preparing formula and breast milk fortification along with other duties as assigned. Documents patient care notes in electronic medical record (POE). Education: Associate's degree or successful completion of a Dietetic Technician Program approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) is required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Licensure/Certification: ServSafe certification preferred. Required Work Experience: Recent exposure to clinical food service management and nutritional care. 6 months to one year experience. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
