This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the University's Water Filtration Plant, including responsibilities associated with water quality, production, laboratory analysis, equipment maintenance and distribution of potable water in a continuous supply to the entire campus. Uses knowledge of systems and application of sound judgment to safely respond to all operating scenarios, including emergencies. Responsible to operate all equipment in a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant manner. Responsible for plant security. This work may be performed on a shift basis, depending on the business needs of the University. This position is covered by the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) bargaining unit. This is a Grade 6 position with an hourly rate of pay of $34.03.
