Business Development Manager

Do you have a passion for driving sales growth, building customer relationships, and working with cutting-edge industrial gas equipment and processes? Air Products is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our Equipment Sales & Plant Support (ESPS) team in Allentown, PA. This role offers the opportunity to manage sales of industrial gas equipment and after-market services across the Americas while collaborating with global teams and partners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth through sales of Air Products Cryogenic, Standard Product, and Hydrogen Services.

  • Identify and engage target customers, presenting both commercial and technical proposals.

  • Develop growth strategies and customer engagement plans to boost sales.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to craft technical proposals and ensure on-site support meets customer needs.

  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing customers while pursuing new business.

  • Develop pricing strategies, contracts, and commercial proposals to secure new projects.

  • Attend industry conferences and forums to promote Air Products' technology and capabilities.

  • Work with the Air Products Standard Plant Product team to enhance competitiveness and streamline work processes.

  • Oversee asset management and ensure customer satisfaction throughout project lifecycles.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical and commercial concepts.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong desire to build and sustain relationships.

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for driving business growth.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and departments.

  • Experience in product development, negotiation, and sales is a plus.

  • Background in refining, chemicals manufacturing, or industrial gas technology is preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to meet clients and partners.

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline) preferred

  • MBA or equivalent business experience is a plus

  • Experience in industrial gas technology, equipment sales, or plant support is highly desirable

Location and Work Hours:

This role is based in Allentown, PA, with regular travel to meet with customers and partners. Air Products offers a flexible work environment that promotes work-life balance and professional growth.
