DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, the Clerical Assistant 2 will use scheduling software to develop and prepare work schedules to meet the demands of the facility. Ensures compliance with policies, regulations, standards of conduct and union equalization issues. Review employee call-off lists obtained from Registered Nurse Supervisors to adjust schedule and identify staffing shortages. Contact employees on the voluntary overtime list, PRN list, and nurse staffing agencies to obtain Nurse Aides, LPNs, and RNs. You will also provide administrative and clerical support to the Nursing Department, such as: typing and proofreading various documents, receiving and routing telephone calls and visitors, making copies, filing, taking messages, etc.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act:
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment may require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
