Job Description

The Senior Project Manager must have experience managing software & infrastructure projects, planning, leading, organizing, and motivating project teams, across infrastructure, operations, and development, to achieve a high level of performance and quality in delivering projects. Responsible for managing multiple large projects in collaboration with development, infrastructure, operations, and development groups. Develop work breakdown structure, and help determine resource needs. Report on progress to project stakeholders. Participate in the CM (Change Management) process.

Job Responsibilities


  • Plan, managed, and executed the course of relatively large and/or complex project(s) providing day-to-day management and oversight, following established project management methodology
  • Must have experience working with large-scale, complex software implementations that involve data conversion and multiple integrations
  • Identify, track, and resolve project interdependencies and related execution issues/risks
  • Actively engage key stakeholders
  • Develop and manage work breakdown structure for multiple projects
  • Lead project technical sizing estimation sessions
  • Track the course of a project from meetings
  • Report on the progress of the project to include milestones, resources, and financials
  • Facilitate, track, and manage changes to scope and requirements through an established change management process
  • Track project artifacts (e.g., scope, changes, defects) using JIRA

    Qualifications
  • Eight or more years of managing multiple IT systems implementation projects, spanning SDLC projects and projects in infrastructure and operations
  • Proficient using Jira
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Project
  • Demonstrated ability to work with infrastructure, operations, and development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and drive teams toward delivering and achieving goals
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as proficient knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
  • Ability to operate at strategic and tactical levels
  • Process analysis and systematic thinking
  • Ability to prioritize among a large number of requirements/tasks
  • Experience with agile and iterative software development methodologies
  • PMP Certification
  • Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to infrastructure/operations/dev teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
  • Financial services experience is strongly preferred
