Essential Job Duties	Join our dynamic Environmental Services team as a Crew Leader I, where you'll lead essential projects, such as power washing entrances, window washing, waxing floors, and more. This role offers an exciting opportunity to guide a dedicated team, ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of campus spaces. You will be responsible for coordinating daily operations, resolving maintenance issues, and delivering excellent customer service. Key responsibilities and duties include but are not limited: Lead projects, including power washing, window washing, floor waxing, and re-lamping fixtures and dispensers Inspect and verify maintenance discrepancies and ensure timely resolution Provide support to other zones as needed, filling in for vacant positions or absenteeism Collect and submit timesheets within established timelines Perform critical duties during adverse weather or emergencies as assigned Complete accident reports within 24 hours of an incident Assist with equipment inventory and maintain monthly inventory of storage closet supplies Submit supply orders for manager approval to ensure adequate stock levels Train new employees, ensuring they understand tasks and safety protocols Transport employees to various locations for assignments Collaborate with maintenance staff inside and outside the unit to resolve issues efficiently Address and resolve customer requests via radio communications, work orders, and direct interactions *Please note that this posting is for current permanent NC State University employees only.*
Other Responsibilities	This position has been designated as essential personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even though the University may be operating on an alternate schedule This position may assist with snow and ice removal under the direction of a supervisor

Qualifications

Minimum Experience/Education	Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Special certification may be required for some of these positions.
Other Required Qualifications	Must be able to lift a minimum of 60 pounds continuously and 90 pounds occasionally Must be able to use standard housekeeping equipment such as auto-scrubbers, burnishers, and power washers in addition to performing minor repairs on these and other small equipment Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisor and the general public. Must be able to follow instructions and other communications regarding assignments and other matters
Preferred Qualifications	Experience performing housekeeping duties in a university or commercial environment Preferred training includes MarketPlace (Supply Ordering/Req. Mgmt.), inventory management & control, budgeting, Wolf Report, timesheet management, SOP development, data security, phone etiquette, and intermediate proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets, MS Word/Google Docs, and MS PowerPoint/Google Slides
Required License or Certification	Valid driver's license required Must be able to obtain a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire and it must be maintained
