Job Description

We are currently hiring a Brewing Supervisor in Breinigsville, PA

The Brewing Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day management of assigned shifts, including safety, quality, efficiency, process execution, and team development. The position is responsible for the in-specification performance of all Boston Beer product streams and the supervision of hourly staff. Supervises production operations following brewery policies and procedures. Also responsible for developing and maintaining a system to ensure that all brewing products manufactured by the Brewery meet customer specifications and achieve superior quality and reliability levels. The supervisor position will rotate through all shifts on a periodic schedule.

What You'll Brew:



  • Lead preparation and delivery of employee evaluation process and ensure alignment within the spirit of the performance management program, including new hire evaluations, Oversee and lead operator training and development plans and initiatives, Work with and coach employees to improve performance and close performance issues or gaps.
  • Efficiently and effectively work to attain department and brewery goals and objectives, lead, develop and monitor all critical control points to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Must observe and ensure adherence and compliance with safety/environmental standards/requirements, sanitation standards, and GMP guidelines.
  • Supervise and review the performance of direct reports and develop staff professionally and technically to meet goals.
  • Report, investigate and ensure accurate communication of incidents and work-related injuries.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of hours worked for payroll purposes, responsible for shift schedule to include workstation assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations.
  • Manage process and formulation of Boston Beer Company products to ensure adherence to specification and performance targets.
  • Manages/conducts quality checks, processes audits, and monitors production reports to ensure adherence to BBC quality standards and performance.
  • Direct Operators to perform required tasks to ensure quality brewing of product. May be required to perform the tasks of an Operator as needed.
  • Participate in the interview and selection process. Lead the onboarding of hires and participate in operator succession planning.


What Ingredients You'll Bring:

Minimum:



  • Science Degree or equivalent experience in food and beverage processing.
  • Minimum of 2+ of proven leadership and supervisory skills/experience
  • In-depth understanding and track record of delivering operational processes that drive safety, quality, cost, and delivery improvements.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, Process Improvement, and Process Control.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.


Level 7

In accordance with pay transparency lawsthe salary range for this role if hired is $56,000 - $109,000 annually* based on location** and the experience level of the candidate. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance.
