This team is crucial in setting the tone of "Excellence in Patient Care" for our patients, an experience that our community has come to expect. This individual must be adept in creating an effective team and managing multiple priorities in a busy medical setting. The ideal candidate will also have experience in a supervisory capacity that includes staff planning and management, change management, and performance counseling. Medical office experience is crucial, and oncology experience is a plus. Employment Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours M-F Location: Vancouver Cancer Clinic (Vancouver, WA) Salary Range: $61,131 - $88,329 **Final offer amounts are determined by a review of the candidate's applicable experience and qualifications, as well as, internal employee equity considerations. Job Scope: Responsible for the coordination and operation of the Front Office functions. Acts as liaison with physicians, patients, and other office staff. Responsible for the coordination and operation of the Front Office functions at the clinic. Responsible for assisting in the development of and administration of office policies and procedures. Supervises and coordinates front office staff activities and responsibilities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees all front office functions.
- Supervises the daily activities or front office staff in addition to developing and attaining performance goals and objectives.
- Evaluates performance and recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
- Provides assistance and coverage for front office functions as required.
- Responsible for the onboarding and training of staff with regard sessions with staff regarding coding, accurate charge entry, and other front office functions.
- Acts as liaison between physicians, administration, and business departments.
- Coordinates office procedures with front office, medical staff, and billing office to ensure smooth flow of information within departments.
- Participates in the completion of month-end close checklist for all assigned items to ensure meeting or exceeding corporate timelines.
- Reviews posting of charges from encounter forms and hospital charges within 24 hours. Reviews daily encounter forms for completeness and accuracy, following up with appropriate person(s) to obtain complete information.
- Maintains knowledge of current healthcare and billing trends and practices.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience/Training:
- Minimum (5) years of medical office experience.
- Minimum of (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge and experience in other Office Management duties such as staffing, safety, collections, etc. strongly preferred.
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong ability to multi-task.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with multiple people on many different levels.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail.
