Position Function
Under supervision, perform duties related to collection and recording of monies.
Minimum Education
1.High school diploma or equivalent ( GED). Successful completion of Cashier Training Class and passing score on final test.
Minimum Experience
1.Must have clean body, teeth, hair, nails, and clothing.
2.No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, oven cleaners, or other materials or environmental factors in food service, e.g., steam, dust, etc.
3.Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies, procedures, and communications.
4.Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in the English language.
5.Must be able to perform all physical and mental requirements outlined in each job duty/responsibility.
6.You must be 18 years or older.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

1.Previous experience in cashiering and using a computerized cash register. Experience in fast food, snack bar, dairy bar, or similar commercial establishment.

Ranking 1
Job duty
Count, wrap, and verify money. Keep money and reports secure at all times.
Duty Requirement
Requires the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, efficiently operate a calculator, read and comprehend written materials, and be detail-oriented.

Job duty
Open on time and maintain published meal service hours.
Duty Requirement
Requires the ability to walk/stand for extended periods of time. Task requires the visual ability to direct customers to key areas. Employee is exposed to inside environmental conditions.

Job duty
Operate electronic terminals with a high degree of accuracy in logging on, completing cash transactions, completing cash equivalency and debit account transactions, and generating a detailed daily media report at the end of each meal. A high degree of accuracy is expected.
Duty Requirement
Requires the physical ability to grasp, push, pull, stoop, crouch, reach, walk, stand, lift, feel, have dexterity and strength in hands, and exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and 10 pounds of force frequently. Task requires the visual ability to perceive depth.

Prepare a manual 'Check Out Form' to report all monies from sales and to account for sales 'overage' and 'shortage'. Form must be neatly written and completely accurate. Frequent overage or shortage is not acceptable.

Requires the ability to read and comprehend written materials, perform basic mathematical calculations, grasp and handle objects, and be detail-oriented. Task requires the ability to provide written instructions and information.

Customer transactions must be made speedily; interact with customers with a smile, courtesy, friendliness, and helpfulness, and communicate customer concerns, questions, comments, and compliments to supervisor.

Requires the ability to use computerized card reader, cash register, terminals, calculators, and scales. Task requires the mental ability to receive, comprehend, follow and provide oral instructions.

Maintain cash terminal, scales (where applicable), and other equipment in good condition through correct operation and cleaning procedures. Report equipment malfunctions immediately.

Follow all rules and regulations, including but not limited to, proper customer attire, reporting theft of items for sale, charging employees, guests, and all customers correct price for all items for sale, use of meal cards and debit accounts, return of unacceptable food for replacement, etc. In all-you-can-eat locations admit only those who have a valid meal card or who have paid.
