Position Overview
Primary Purpose of Position |
The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach will have oversight of the strength training and conditioning programs for all NC A&T student-athletes across 17 intercollegiate sports.
Primary responsibilities include the development of sport-specific programs designed to enhance sport performance and decrease incidence on non-contact injuries. Additionally, the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach will demonstrate and implement safe, effective, and proven exercise techniques and deliver programs in an organized manner using the field's best practices.
The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach will consult with the sports medicine staff to strategize and adjust training programs for injured student-athletes as well as communicate with individual coaching staffs regarding student-athlete goals and performance. |
Primary Function of Organizational Unit |

Minimum Requirements |
Bachelor's degree required. Must be certified by the
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (
CSCS) OR CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (
SCCC)
5 years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach or equivalent at the collegiate or professional level. Current
CPR,
AED, and First Aid certifications |
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Master's degree preferred. Previous Head Strength and Conditioning Coach experience preferred. |
Required License or Certification |
Must be certified by the
NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (
