Duties and Responsibilities
The Business Leadership Hub (Hub) at Quinlan School of Business houses multiple centers with focus areas including artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, executive education, family business, financial policy, risk management and insurance, social enterprise and responsibility, and supply chain management. This position will enable and support these centers to expand their scope and impact through activities such as

  • Identifying promising external partners and develop collaborative and productive relationships with those partners
  • Identifying external funding opportunities with interests that align with center activities and assist with the development of proposals in pursuit of those opportunities
  • Developing and managing internal processes to ensure consistent and successful center, and cross-center, activities, events, and programs.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • External partners and stakeholders:

    • Develop and execute procedures for partner prospecting.
    • Develop and execute procedures for regularly capturing and measuring partner interests and needs that align with center focus areas.
    • Develop and execute procedures for regularly communicating outcomes from partnership with said partners.



  • External funding:

    • Identify funding agencies with goals and missions that align with those of Loyola and Quinlan.
    • Monitor funding opportunities with agencies to identify programs that align with center focus areas.
    • Assist and support writing grant proposals for funding opportunities.



  • Event-related:

    • Create and nurture partnerships with on- and off-campus vendors to develop a network of enthusiastic organizations engaged via active support in the success of Hub programs and events.
    • Coordinate Hub support staff to ensure consistent, effective, and efficient processes for organizing and promoting events.
    • Collaborate with center directors as well as internal and external stakeholders to identify topics for events and programs.



  • General management:

    • Ensure Hub program/project mission, values, guidelines, and procedures are designed, implemented, and maintained in compliance with Loyola University Chicago policy.
    • Support the evaluation of center activities and means for disseminating outcomes from those activities to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Develop procedures to leverage technology assets of the Hub, including but not limited to Salesforce, CVENT, Slack, and Asana, to further Hub and center goals.


  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and at least two to three years of related experience preferred. Additional Education or Experience may be required by department program.
Qualifications

  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in developing, growing, and managing relationships with external stakeholders
  • Experience in identifying grant opportunities and grant writing
  • Experience in education and/or mission-driven organizations
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and managing logistics and operations for programs and events.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A desire to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Experience in marketing and customer service skills.


An ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize among competing tasks
