About This Position

The IT Support Help Desk Analyst serves as the first point of contact for employees seeking IT assistance. Provide entry level technical support and triaging to all IT inquiries. Provider basic end user training utilizing a variety of hardware/software tools and techniques.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create tickets based on customer requests via phone, email or in person
  • Troubleshoot or repair all hardware, software utilized within the company
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Resolve any escalated tickets from Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Create and maintain up to date documentation for processes and systems
  • Analyze existing systems and make proactive recommendations for improvements
  • Train users on any new system(s) introduced to the company
  • Configure computer systems according to company policy
  • Evaluate new product versions and recommend an upgrade schedule
  • Perform backups, restores of computers and company issued mobile devices
  • Administration of large scale systems / user portals
  • Maintain servers and PC images used strictly by the service desk
  • Coordinate equipment swaps, returns and loans
  • Coordinate new unit openings to meet the needs laid out for IT services and equipment
  • Other duties as determined by the needs of the business

What You'll Need

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to work in a correctional environment
  • Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly
  • Must be a self-starter who can work well with people at all levels both in and out of KCN Organization and the correctional facility in a professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with computers (including Microsoft Office programs)
