The IT Program Manager is responsible for leading, facilitating and driving the strategic initiatives at SCRI and will oversee the management and delivery of SCRI's clinical research systems portfolio. The IT Program Manager will lead a team of internal consultants and/or business analysts to implement enterprise level initiatives to increase growth, market share, customer & employee satisfaction, improve business key performance indicators and to deliver on key strategies of the organization. The team will prepare detailed analyses, design, implement, and control new or improved processes, businesses, organizational design and growth initiatives. This requires strong analytical, influencing and change management skills while directing multiple business areas. This role enables SCRI to reach its visionary aspirations in excellence.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT program management, with a focus on clinical research systems. This hybrid position is based at our Nashville, TN Corporate offices.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Directly manage team of IT Program Managers and Business Analysts that are leading high impact strategic initiatives across Sarah Cannon. Where appropriate, lead the Business Analysts to develop and maintain operational dashboards for SCRI key performance indicators for both Strategy and Operations.
In close collaboration with AVP of Strategy and Transformation and CIO, work to mature Program Management Office and Process Improvement Office to meet SCRI strategic objectives and imperatives; maintain Sarah Cannon methodologies and implementation approaches for Strategy, Governance, Portfolio Management, Process Improvement, Change Management and Operational Initiatives; will manage governance, portfolio, and project spend for IT in partnership with CIO; foster a process improvement community within the organization to share best practices and provide learning opportunities for colleagues
Partner with AVP of Strategy and Transformation to facilitate senior leadership in identification, scheduling, and prioritization of strategic initiatives. Maintain an ongoing dialog to ensure timely resolution of issues, appropriate actions around risk, and overall status of initiatives. Maintain working knowledge of status of all assigned initiatives to serve as communication point on portfolio status.
Introduce project management tools, templates, and techniques through active consulting and coaching to direct reports and delivery teams; coordinate cross department deliverables; ensure resources are available and prepared to deliver their components of the program plan; foster an environment of open communications that provides accurate and complete status of initiatives.
Establishes and leads high-visibility enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic initiatives. Lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure upgrades and deployments. Oversees programs and program managers who are assigned to many related projects to deliver value.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred 7+ years of program management experience Six Sigma or PMP Certification strongly preferred
Change management and project management techniques and tools Knowledgeable and experienced in the research environment and healthcare processes Strong working relationship with leadership which allows for quick problem resolution and staff support Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with large change impact
Advanced facilitation and leadership skills, including written and oral communication and fostering collaboration Interpersonal skills Advanced analytic capabilities including six sigma methods and tools Computer skills with ability using Microsoft Office specifically PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Projects, and Excel Strong people management skills to coach direct reports through the aforementioned skills Experience leading large teams through major organizational changes
Ability to facilitate and motivate groups of people to improve at any level of the organization Ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders, to lead and inspire teams (of both direct reports and project teams), to set direction and approach, to resolve conflict and deliver tough messages with grace Persuasive, encouraging, motivating; the ability to communicate the complex in simple terms Ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively Exhibits influencing and negotiating skills Comfortable raising questions, issues, objections and ideas at all levels of the organization
