Description Medical Group PracticesProfessional - Nonclinical Full-time: 32-40 hours per week Fully remote All summer internship applications requireboth a cover letter and resumeto be considered. Summary: The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.Our department consists of eight team members: a Director, two Managers, four Analysts, and one Accountant. We are part of the MaineHealth Medical Group Southern Region and support all southern region practices. Our team is responsible for a wide range of critical financial operations, including: *Managing the capital budget for all practices. *Assisting with monthly financial close processes. Additionally, we handle various daily financial tasks essential to the smooth operation of our practices. Our work plays a vital role in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the southern region practices within MaineHealth. During the summer, the intern will assist with financial and operational tasks that support the southern region practices. These tasks include: These projects and tasks will provide the intern with exposure to various aspects of healthcare finance while contributing to the success of our team's goals. Preference will be given to undergraduate senior students who are studying accounting or finance. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
