ABOUT THE JOB

The Range and Pasture Specialist is responsible for providing support and knowledge of Range and Pasture products while also overseeing direct sales of these products to ranchers.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

• Supports, sells, and services all Range and Pasture products in a designated area.
• Supervises and implements Range and Pasture test plots.
• Provides recommendations and information on Range and Pasture products selection to customers and sales staff.
• Participates and serves as Range and Pasture subject matter expert for farmer/rancher meetings and field tours.
• Participates in business unit and division Range and Pasture meetings with suppliers.
• Provides and conducts Range and Pasture training direct to customers and to retail locations.
• Participates in sales call with field sales staff as requested by Division Manager and/or Sales Manager.
• Supports BU and Division long-term Range and Pasture strategy and product selection.
• Serves as SME for training programs related to Range and Pasture products.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle.
• Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Other work-related duties as assigned by leader.
• Reliable and regular attendance is required.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in agricultural field or ag business is required.
• One year of Range and Pasture related experience is required.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Marketing and sales skills. Understanding of agronomic systems and how they apply to other categories (i.e. agchem, fertilizer, seed, Helena proprietary products, etc.).
• Past experience building strong relationships.
• Presentation skills along with the ability to sell ideas and concepts.
• Motivational and leadership qualities.
• Ability to self-direct, prioritize, set goals, evaluate and review progress and create objectives and timelines.
• Computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office are required.
• Ability to learn and use new technologies.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
• Communicating in Spanish is a valuable skill at Helena.
• Ability to travel by various means up to 65% is required.
• Applicants for positions requiring any driving of a vehicle of any type on a roadway, must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

Successful completion of a drug screen and background check

is required for all positions at Helena.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOB

The work environment for this position is that of a typical office environment where the noise level is mostly quiet. This position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be occasionally required to lift or move up to 10 pounds.
