CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN II Individual with good record keeping ability and a head for numbers needed to assist lead calibrator in field measurements of bulk liquid storage tanks and barges. The Calibration Technician position involves climbing of tanks or other structures and entry of confined spaces; some overnight travel. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Experience in the use of measuring equipment (i.e. engineers' level, theodolite, strapping tapes, tape measure, etc.). High school education or equivalent, with mathematics emphasis. Organizational skills: file management, clerical, records keeping. Requires good communication skills and ability to work well with others in a TEAM environment. Ability to work overtime when necessary. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Interacting and communicating with job site personnel, clients and vessel personnel in a proper professional and business-like manner at all times. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Calibrators must have a vehicle in good, safe operating condition. Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
