Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers of Colorado (RMCC) has an immediate opening for an
experienced, self-motivated, medical physicist. Minimum requirements include: a master's
degree in medical physics, 5-6 years' experience working in Radiation Oncology with ABR
certification and an understanding of the systems listed below.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative group of 7 physicists. We are proud to work
closely with an excellent team of physicians, dosimetrists, therapists, administrators, and support
staff. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. This position will primarily
serve our progressive center in Boulder, Colorado. This busy practice treats SRS and SBRT
using a Varian True Beam linear accelerator with Brainlab Exactrac Dynamic. Physics is
responsible for SRS planning while dosimetry handles all other planning. We also treat a wide
variety of patients using a Varian Clinac 2100iX. We operate in a Mosaiq environment with
Varian Eclipse and Brainlab Elements treatment planning systems. While this position will
primarily work side by side with another highly experienced physicist in the Boulder department,
you will also have the opportunity to work in other Rocky Mountain Cancer Center sites within
our network. A well-developed structure for teamwork and cross coverage is one of the primary
strengths of our physics group and assures us that we are each able to enjoy our needed time off
as well as one fully paid meeting annually.
This position has unique flexibility, depending on the candidate. RMCC has highly active
PET/CT, radiopharmaceutical, and research services for someone with appropriate credentialling
and experience who might want to be involved in those areas. HDR experience is also a plus to
provide coverage options at our nearby Thornton clinic, just 25 minutes from Boulder. Our
HDR system is Oncentra (Elekta) with the Flexitron delivery system.

Located at the foot of the beautiful Rocky Mountains, we thrive on over 300 days of sunshine
and blue sky each year! Colorado is a beautiful place to live and raise a family. Quality school
systems, abundant outdoor activities, a wide variety of indoor cultural opportunities - all coupled
with 4 major league sport teams - make this area second to none.

While dedication and teamwork are the key to our success, our work is not our lives. And
attention to detail is a must!
