Summary:

The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

The Child and Family Health team supports clinical teams and community partners through promoting prevention and early intervention strategies to improve child and maternal health. Areas that our programs cover include: oral health, vaccinations, rural maternity care and perinatal substance use disorders. We have team of 5, that works across the MaineHealth system as well as with practices and partners across the state.

We are looking for an intern who is interested in learning about the range of programs that our team leads. Types of projects may include surveying medical practices, working with population health data, and developing reports or materials for practice staff to use in their work with patients.

Preference will be given to undergraduate juniors and seniors or graduate students who have an interest in healthcare or public health and have strong writing and analytical skills.

1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
