Description MaineHealth CorporateProfessional - Nonclinical Full-time: 40 hours per week Fully remote position All summer internship applications requireboth a cover letter and resumeto be considered. Summary: The intern in this role will have the unique opportunity to assist our Information Technology department with communications projects AND project management projects, with tasks including: composing articles for the monthly IT newsletters, updating the department's community page, interviewing senior leaders to create profiles, and involvement in emergency messaging/communications. The IT Project Management Office has 25 Project Managers, we oversee large IT projects for MaineHealth. IT is comprised of 600 staff and our team is divided to help support each part: Security, Clinical, Infrastructure, Data Management, Resource Planning and Strategy. There are typically 100 projects in flight at any given time, we are responsible for the care and management of the projects, the governance and eventual success of the projects. Prior Project Management interns have helped with our ServiceNow reports/training and creation, revitalized and improved our project template library, drafted and provided an implementation roadmap for adopting the M365 suite of applications. Prior interns shadow and view current projects in the different phases of development. Schedule creation and tracking for hospital implementations, go lives and releases. We have some larger projects involving a PACS rollout, moving files to the cloud, datacenter moves, Epic (electronic health system) updates, upgrades and refuel, our HR system is being upgraded and replaced. There are also security and data management projects that will be underway. The intern could help with small parts of the projects (typical projects run >a year and involve many staff). Preference will be given to undergraduate juniors and seniors or graduate students pursuingCommunications, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, English - logical thinker able to understand and make decisions. Understanding of computer systems, healthcare, human interactions are helpful. A-type personality hard worker and problem solver. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate's Degree program, Bachelor's Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred. 2.
