Position Summary

* The Nursing Unit Secretary II role performs clerical, receptionist, and regulatory duties. This role has the responsibility for advanced unit involvement in projects and house-wide activities. Strong candidates for this position will possess excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to communicate with team members, as well as patients and their families effectively.

This unique Nursing Unit Secretary positions offers a 32 hour per week schedule of 4 (8 hour) shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM performing general Nursing Unit Secretary duties with one shift focused on Nursing Unit Helper job functions OR3 (10.5 hour) shifts. Candidates must be flexible to occasional weekends.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
• Experience: Three years of secretarial experience with at least one year within MaineHealth required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Nursing Unit Secretary I role.
