Position Summary
UNM Health and Health Sciences
Marketing &Communications (UNMHHS MarCom) has an exciting opportunity for
an Administrative Coordinator to join our growing team.

As a member of the UNM Health
and Health Sciences Marketing & Communications Team, this position will
play an integral role in assisting with the department administration and
operations.

We are looking for someone who
has experience with performing and coordinating a variety of administrative,
fiscal, and support activities for a large department; and serving as a liaison
for internal and external constituents to communicate and oversee the
completion of department projects, daily tasks, and/or events.

This position will play an
active role in working with the Senior Business Manager to:


- Provide confidential
administrative support for the Senior Business Manager, Marketing Director, and Communications Director.
- Assist with department and
university inquires and problem solving.
- Assist with the maintenance
of department inventory and office space.
- Schedule and organize
department meetings and events, and assist with facilitation.
- Create department
procurement, reconciliation, and travel documents; which includes ordering
supplies, making travel arrangements, reconciling fiscal documents, and
processing reimbursements.

This role requires strong
interpersonal skills and extraordinary competency in verbal and written
communication. This position requires flexibility and excellent prioritization
skills; one who performs well with minimal supervision with the ability to
thrive and problem solve with competing deadlines, in a fast-paced,
multi-tasked environment. A successful candidate will be a relationship builder

Conditions of Employment
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.


Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
- Outstanding writing and interpersonal
communications skills.
- The ability to work in a face-paced,
multi-tasked environment.
- The ability to adapt and adjust
daily tasks, as needed, which require excellent time management skills.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience
directly related to the duties specified above.
- Extensive knowledge in Adobe
Acrobat, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft
PowerPoint.
- Prior UNM experience.
