Position Overview:
The primary focus of this role will be to serve as the CMCI leader in Maryland, directing the regional CMCI operations and developing a strategic plan for longer-term growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage in business development-related activities with clients and other firms to position PRIME to expand its Mid-Atlantic market into Maryland.
- Develop the Statement of Interest (SOI) for projects by collaborating with internal Departments (i.e. Marketing and other CMCI offices).
- Develop technical & price proposals, task budgets and invoice review by utilizing/collaborating with our Internal Services Departments (i.e. Marketing, Accounting/Finance, Contract Administrators, etc.).
- Recruit and retain suitable Field Staff to be used in SOI's and project assignments.
- Supervise, mentor, and train a team of Construction Managers & Inspectors on highway improvement projects with key clients VDOT and various Municipal clients.
- Continue developing and retaining the current Field Staff and help with cross certifying staff
- Manage scope, schedule and budget for personnel assigned to highway improvement projects.
- Collaborate and coordinate with regional team members.
- Coordinate the assignment of personnel with contractor activities.
- Communicate directives of contract plans to contractors.
- Assist with change order preparation.
- Monitor and assess staffing needs.
Minimum Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- 20+ years of CMCI experience in a leadership role.
- PE License in MD required or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Solid professional relationships with key area clients and teaming partners.
- Possess previous experience with the Maryland transportation markets.
- Solid client engagement experience related to direct meetings, strategy projects, and industry associations.
- Demonstrated experience with quality management and implementation/enforcement of QA/QC standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of traditional and alternative delivery methods to include P3 and DB projects desired.
- Active in professional organizations.
- Ability to travel within Maryland as needed.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results on challenging projects.
