POSITION SUMMARY

The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for the installation and general maintenance of assigned plumbing systems at Stratton Mountain Resort. During the off season this position will work on various projects and preventive maintenance. This is a full-time year-round benefit eligible position, paid at $30.00 - $35.00/hr, based on experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Install, assemble, maintain, and repair pipes and plumbing fixtures
  • Ability to braze and solder pipes and tubes
  • Locate and repair water line leaks and remove clogs
  • Diagnose plumbing problems and work to resolve any issues
  • Determine and order materials for each project
  • Perform pressure tests on air and water systems
  • Other general maintenance duties as needed and assigned
  • Respond to and close work orders in a timely fashion
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent
  • Proof of completed apprenticeship
  • Vocational certification/Valid plumbing license

Experience:
  • 3+ years related experience


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • A general understanding and working knowledge of mechanical systems, i.e. heating, electrical and plumbing, is required for this position.
  • Ability to read technical designs and blueprints
  • Proficiency using plumbing tools, materials, and equipment
  • Expert knowledge in piping and ventilation systems
  • Understands state regulations and local building codes
  • Experience with oil and gas boilers
  • Must be a strong independent and collaborative worker


TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Vehicle provided for travel on the mountain. A valid driver's license is required for this position and successful Motor Vehicle background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
