Overview Transportation Engineer Westwood Professional Services, Inc. Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our renewables team in our Minnetonka, MN office. Transportation and logistics engineer to perform and/or supervise traffic impact studies, infrastructure cost analysis, and public road improvement and traffic control & signage plans associated with renewable power projects. Further responsibilities include negotiating Road Maintenance Agreements and presentation to local jurisdictions as well as developing client relationships for maintenance marketing and repeat business. To manage, prepare and complete a variety of civil engineering and transportation planning reports, studies and plans for large, complex projects in a timely and proficient nature to produce solutions for our client's success. Candidate will develop an understanding of the components, materials, and scheduling necessary to construct utility-scale energy projects and the impacts the construction of these projects may have on public infrastructure. Create and analyzing transportation plans for construction of utility-scale energy projects.
Required Experience (Text Only) - Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- PE preferred, or ability to achieve PE license within 6 months. - Construction and estimating experience for public infrastructure projects is a plus. - Desired candidate will possess design experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation and possess a good understanding of traffic engineering. - Preferred candidate will have working experience with highway standards from state and local agencies with transportation planning background. - Ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience including proposal preparation, budgeting, and invoicing. - Experience with bridge and culvert design and maintenance programs for existing infrastructure is desired. - Exceptional interpersonal skills including, not limited to verbal and written communication skills. Active listening and negotiation skills and ability to understanding others' perspectives is needed. - Must possess a valid driver's license. You will be reimbursed for business-related travel. - Must possess basic MS Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of Excel is preferred. - Working knowledge of PDF-XChange, Bluebeam, or other PDF editing software tools Compensation Range Minimum USD $85,000.00/Yr.
