Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI) is seeking a IT Security Administrator to join our Corporate IT team. You will be responsible for supporting information security procedures that assure compliance while optimizing protections for confidentiality, integrity, and the availability of Methode's information system assets.

This full-time onsite position is based at our Chicago Corporate office, located near O'Hare International Airport. We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and access to an onsite gym. Currently, we are only considering local candidates.

We design, engineer, and produce mechatronic products for OEMs utilizing our broad range of technologies for user interface, LED lighting system, power distribution and sensor applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the Systems Administrator for Methode's security systems

  • Monitors network security to include incident response and escalation

  • Provides risk assessment and remediation recommendations

  • Monitors logs of public facing systems to detect abnormalities and intrusions

  • Runs vulnerability scans across internal and external hosts

  • Coordinates penetration testing

  • Tracks remediation and follow-up of audit and assessments

  • Keeps management informed of threats and vulnerabilities to Methode's systems

  • Assists with maintaining accurate and current IT security related documentation

  • Provides guidance to lower-level technical staff on how to solve difficult technical issues

  • Develops and maintains operational processes to ensure global security standards are met

  • Demonstrated ability to administer security systems hardware, software and networks

  • Ability to work with vendors in a managed services or hosted environment

  • Creates project plans for upgrades and new implementations

  • Create and present status reports and findings reports

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with direct exposure and use of industry standard security principles and automated technologies

  • Security Certification (examples - CISSP, MCSE, CCSP, CompTIA Security +)

  • Experience with Palo Alto, Cortex, Rapid 7, Proofpoint DLP plus

  • Solid background in project coordination and oversight

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as needed

  • Strong computer knowledge/skills

  • Experience working in a global environment

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-task environment

  • Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors

  • Exceptional customer face-forward type service skills

  • Strong multi-tasking skills

  • Experience in procuring security services and vendor management

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
