Position

The Inventory Control Manager provides overall supervision of physical inventory as it progresses through all manufacturing processes, from raw materials receipt through packaging and shipping to customers. The manager manages and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Inventory Control Manager will:

  • Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment
  • Supervises and coordinates workers' activities in packing or wrapping products and materials to protect them from damage during storage or shipment. Verifies conformance to specification and other customer requirements as appropriate
  • Arranges for disposal of surplus materials
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment
  • Interprets company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations
  • Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties
  • Suggests and establishes changes in working conditions and procedures to increase the efficiency of the shop, department, or work crew and/or to meet production schedules
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving problems
  • Initiates and/or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining control of material flow throughout receiving, stores, production, and shipping areas
  • Ensuring the timely availability and delivery of materials to the appropriate workstation on the manufacturing floor
  • Monitoring materials and supplies inventories to ensure that the manufacturing process can be executed according to the plan
  • Conduct cycle counts and performance measurements to ensure inventory accuracy targets are met
  • Analyzing inventory to include review for obsolescence, identifying dead stock, and taking action to improve turnover
  • Trains on and operates PIT Equipment as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in material and planning activities, including use of an automated MRP/ERP system

* Experience implementing, conducting, and monitoring cycle counting

* Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals

* Exchange and communicate information with people, both internal and external customers

* Calculation and application of figures and amounts, such as proportions and percentages, through basic algebra and geometry

* Practical problem-solving and the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

* Interpretation of a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Education:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and a minimum of 2 years of experience managing the inventory control process or an equivalent combination of education and experience is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MPR/ERP, Database software, Internet software, inventory software, manufacturing software, and Spreadsheet software.

Pay

SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the salary range for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay ranges may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
