Work type: On Campus Location: Normal, Illinois Title: Chairperson, Department of Psychology - College of Arts and Sciences Job Summary The Department of Psychology: The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Chair position. The Department has built a strong reputation for scholarly work in the fields of Clinical-Counseling Psychology, School Psychology, Cognitive and Experimental Psychology, Industrial-Organizational/Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Quantitative Psychology. We offer a Master of Psychology with six different specializations and a doctoral program in School Psychology. The Department of Psychology serves more than 1,000 students in their undergraduate and graduate programs, a number that has nearly doubled in the last five years. There are currently 29 tenure-track faculty members, in addition to emeritus and adjunct faculty, and multiple staff that carry out the responsibilities of the Department. We are an interdisciplinary and collaborative department that values teaching, research, and service. Our teaching incorporates and values the pursuit of learning and scholarship, civic engagement, public opportunity, individualized attention, and diversity. Faculty research occurs both in the laboratory and field settings, and it seeks to advance knowledge and practice. Collaborative research is encouraged with colleagues, graduate and undergraduate students. Faculty and students provide service to the discipline, to the university, and to the community. Salary Rate / Pay Rate Rank is at the Professor (preferred) or Associate Professor level. This is a twelve-month position. Salary range is $120,000 to $170,000 commensurate with experience.
