Summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Systems Engineering, Associate) to support NAWCAD MLS efforts from our Lexington Park, MD location. The focus of this work will be the development, testing, and delivery of MLS aware software programs based on client(s) requirements.

This position supports a Federal Government client from our Lexington Park, MD location and currently requires a hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Responsibilities



  • Support software development, software integration, customer training, and demonstrations
  • Support design, deployment, and support efforts for MLS aware software programs
  • Define requirements and design elements for transport, compute and storage, core services, and security services components of cloud-based Unified Collaboration and Office Productivity solutions
  • Research and propose solutions for network, application, and data security in accordance with NSA's RTB guidelines
  • Generate white papers and design artifacts to document design options and implementation decisions
  • Prepare and present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and solutions
  • Represent MIL, its customers, and sponsors at high-level briefings


Travel

Total travel is expected to be approximately 10% to CONUS sites

Required Qualifications



  • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented software design and development
  • 8 years of experience in information technologies design and development in classified and unclassified environments
  • Familiarity with NSA's NCDSMO Raise the Bar (RTB) guidelines
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and provide technical support to end-users
  • Experience with Microsoft Office apps (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and work in a fast-paced environment


Desired Qualifications



  • Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting clients/users within the DoD Community
  • Experience with CDS and MLS solutions
  • Experience with NSA Raise the Bar (RTB) standards
  • Experience with Cameo Model-Based Systems Engineering (MSBE) tool
  • Experience working on DoD engineering and technical services contracts


Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline from an accredited college.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must possess a current Secret (or higher) clearance; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

Salary at MIL is determined based on qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $115,000 - $180,000 per year.
