Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist performs recruiting duties for all levels of organization positions and travels to agency locations on an as needed basis. The Talent Acquisition Specialist must be perceptive, capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization and be sensitive to organizational needs and employee goodwill. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist with other recruiting and human resources functions as determined by Human Resources Leadership.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment



  • Follows the established recruiting process for the organization. Works closely with hiring managers to understand position needs and educate them on the recruitment process.
  • Facilitates and customizes interview questions and the interview process for all open positions, incorporating the Agency's cultural values and mission statement into the interview process.
  • Writes job postings in the recruiting system that are compelling and appealing to potential applicants, in coordination with the needs of the position/program and in collaboration with Program Managers, Supervisors, and Directors.
  • Assures that job postings contain all legally required information
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with colleges, attends recruiting job fairs, and develops and uses social media and other sources for recruiting.
  • Develops and maintains an online recruiting presence using social media and other intern tools.
  • Attends networking events to build connections in the Agency's service area.
  • Works with Development staff to have appropriately updated Agency information brochures and/or media available for all recruiting events.
  • Acts as a liaison with area employment agencies and advertising agencies, processes and checks advertising agency billings, liaisons with temporary agencies and other recruiting resources as directed.
  • Coordinates the use of temporary employees and in collaboration with the Credentialing Specialist, coordinates the use of interns and student practicums.
  • Reviews applications, screens by matching experience with specific job-related requirements, forwards to hiring managers for their review and follows up appropriately with next steps in the recruitment process.
  • Conducts telephone pre-screening interviews, performs reference checks utilizing the third-party vendor for reference checking.
  • Process all employee/HR paperwork associated with recruitment through the ATS (applicant tracking system).
  • Utilizes knowledge of state and federal student loan assistance programs and program criteria, as well as Agency benefit offerings and other perks to develop recruitment outreach activities that result in qualified applicants for Agency positions.
  • Fosters relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Maintains records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork


Compliance



  • Reports all employee relations issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints to the Human Resources Manager
  • Works with the Human Resources Manager to respond appropriately per organization policy.
  • Maintains tracking of candidate activity for Affirmative Action and EEO-1 reporting.
  • Provides regular recruiting reports as requested.


Other Duties



  • Participates in HR team meetings, other meetings and seminars as required.
  • Recommends and collaborates on new approaches, guidelines and procedures to the Recruiting, Retention and Engagement Supervisor to effect continual improvements in efficiency of Talent Acquisition processes.
  • Serves as a member of agency committees as approved by and/or requested by HR Leadership
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Job Requirements:

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring medium physical exertion, talking, hearing, and adequate vision on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 90% of the time.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education



  • High School Diploma/GED Required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.


Experience



  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in recruiting and/or human resources, required
  • Non-profit organization work experience, preferred
  • Experience with an ATS (applicant tracking system) preferred.

Licensure, Registration, Certification



  • Valid Washington State driver's license and minimum required liability insurance for WA State
  • Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities' liability insurance provider


Employment is conditional upon:



  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
